VE Day 75th Anniversary

Winston Churchill summed it up correctly:

"Never has so much been owed by so many to so few."

Today marks the 75th Anniversary of VE Day. It has been declared a national holiday and rightly so.  Thanks to the selfless acts of bravery by men and women throughout the British Empire and our Allies we won WWII and stopped tyranny from creeping across Europe.

Today is a celebration of what we achieved and a chance to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives to keep us safe. This week on ELC we have used many different lesson to teach you about WWII and have been so impressed with your efforts. Today we seek to finish off these lessons with a slightly shorter day so you can celebrate with your families.

Please remember to send us examples of any work you do.

We love to read your emails and reply to you.
